Client Guide to Public Escort Date Etiquette

Meeting an escort behind closed doors is one thing. Taking her to dinner, drinks, a nightclub or an event? Yeah... this kind of date comes with a few extra rules.

After all, when you book one of our London escorts for a public date, you're no longer spending the entire booking somewhere private. There are other people around, and suddenly questions start popping up. Can you put your arm around her? Should you introduce her as your girlfriend? Is it okay to take a photo together? What if somebody you know walks over and strikes up a conversation?

This guide covers the important etiquette clients need to consider when taking an escort somewhere public.

Agree on the Basics Before You Go Out

A public date tends to go wrong when one person knows the plan, and the other doesn't.

If, say, you're taking her to a black-tie function, a lively birthday party with a few mates there, or a fancy nightclub, she needs to know what she's walking into. Give them the venue or type of event, expected start and finish time, dress code, whether you'll be meeting other people and what you plan to do afterwards. It also lets her decide whether she's actually comfortable with that particular environment.

Why? Well, a woman who loves party bookings might love nothing more than dancing until the early morning with you, but she might not feel comfortable attending a very, very formal event. Instead, that kind of date would be better suited to one of our high-class London escorts. The point is, you must give the agency as much detail as possible regarding the public date you have in mind.

How Should You Introduce Her?

This is probably one of the biggest questions clients have when friends or colleagues are involved. If she's joining a group, give her a little context before you throw her into it. Who's hosting? Who are you closest to? Does everybody know she's your date? Does anybody know what she does for work?

The easiest solution is to decide beforehand how you're going to introduce her. In most situations, her first name followed by “my date” is more than enough. There's definitely no need to create some elaborate story about how you met. The more details you invent, the more opportunities there are for somebody to ask a question neither of you knows how to answer.

If you're attending something where people are likely to ask more questions, speak to your companion about it before you arrive. Do not suddenly introduce her as your girlfriend, PA, or business partner and expect her to instantly understand the character you've apparently cast her as. And if somebody asks directly how you met? Keep the answer short and move the conversation elsewhere. Most people are much less interested than nervous clients imagine they will be.

Public Affection: How Much Is Too Much?

Just because your date is affectionate with you in private doesn't mean you should start pinching her arse at the bar. Do that, and you may be dealing with a very, very pissed-off escort. You wouldn't do it to a woman on a first date... so why should you do it to one of our girls?

What looks natural depends on the setting. Holding hands while walking between venues, putting an arm around her waist or sharing a kiss over drinks might be completely normal on a casual dinner date. At a formal business function, the same woman may quite reasonably prefer to keep things more reserved.

The same applies to a girlfriend experience booking. GFE means the date can feel warm, affectionate and natural... but does it mean every form of affection immediately becomes appropriate in every public setting? No... no, it doesn't.  If you're unsure, let things develop naturally and follow her lead. If she links arms with you while you walk into the restaurant, takes your hand at the table or moves closer while you're having drinks, you've got a fairly obvious indication of what feels comfortable.

Photos, Videos & Social Media

A pretty simple rule to remember, guys: do not take photographs or videos of your escort during the booking.

Yes, her face may already be shown across dozens of photographs on the London Deluxe website, but that doesn't make her fair game for your camera. The images on her profile are photographs she has chosen and approved for work purposes.

Where things get slightly more complicated is at public events, because you might not be the person taking the photographs. Weddings can have professional photographers wandering around all evening... same with corporate events, awards nights and clubs. If you have a feeling that photography will be a big part of the event, mention it when making the booking. Your companion needs to know beforehand...

Drinking Without Ruining the Date

Alcohol obviously features in plenty of public dates, especially when you've booked one of our party girl escorts. What you shouldn't assume is that your escort has to drink simply because you are.

Some of our escorts do enjoy wine or cocktails while working, but there are a few who deliberately drink very little, especially when they're moving between venues, meeting new clients or travelling home later. Some may not even drink at all. So if she orders sparkling water after her first cocktail, take the hint. If she wishes to remain comfortable and in control of herself throughout the booking, then that's her wish.

You should try to remain vaguely functional too. Getting extremely drunk can quickly change the tone of an otherwise good date. If your date deems you too intoxicated, then she has every right to cancel the booking and leave.  So yes, you can enjoy the Champagne... just don't drink so much of it that your escort ends up ditching you.

Who Pays for Dinner, Drinks, Tickets & Taxis?

If you invite your escort somewhere during the booking, budget for the date itself as well as her time.

That generally means you should expect to cover things associated with the plans you've arranged. This includes her meal at the restaurant, drinks you order together, event tickets, club entry, table charges and transport needed while you're moving between venues.

What Happens If You See Somebody You Know?

London has millions of people in it, yet somehow the colleague you least want to see will always appear in the same restaurant on the exact night you've booked an escort.

First things first: if somebody comes over, act normally. Introduce your companion by her first name if an introduction is necessary, exchange whatever small talk is expected and carry on with your evening.

If discretion genuinely matters because of your job, relationship status or social circle, think about that when choosing the venue. Booking a restaurant close to where you live or work is hardly conducive to a relaxing date, so choose somewhere outside your normal routine. London is hardly short of restaurants, bars and escort-friendly hotels.

As we said before, you should also agree beforehand how introductions will be handled if somebody you know appears unexpectedly. That way neither of you has to invent an explanation on the spot while the person is standing beside the table.

When the Plans Change Mid-Date

Now, we get that most public dates have a habit of evolving and moving to a different venue. What matters is remembering that your escort only agreed to the plans she knew about.

If the change is minor, tell her what's happening and see whether she wants to come along. Moving from one nearby cocktail bar to another probably won't require a summit meeting. As for the bigger changes, though, like moving from dinner to a club? Just remember to give her the choice before committing either of you to the new plan. If timings or the nature of the booking are changing significantly, speak with the agency as well so everything stays clear.

That is really what good public-date etiquette comes down to: keeping your escort informed instead of assuming she'll simply go along with whatever happens.
